Tokyo

Tokyo the vast and never ending modern super city. The well- balanced mix between past and future. Surgically clean and organized metropolis full of super polite and hard working people. Does it not sounds just too crazy to be true?

You have to be really naive to believe the statement above. Tokyo is big city with all troubles that every metropolis is dealing with. The difference is that it`s full of people who care and are making their effort that make Tokyo what it is.

What I did?

Asakusa and Senso-JI temple is must go in Tokyo so I did it. Plenty of small stalls with streets vendors and food options to try.

From Senso-Ji we have walked to Tokyo Skytree and spent time at it`s observation deck and enjoyed amazing views on the night time Tokyo.

Shibuya, day time and yes you have to come here to see it after sunset.

This is the place of the famous padestrian crossing and statue of dog Hachiko who was waiting for his owner to come back for 9 years (supposedly).

It`s trendy part of Tokyo full of shops and entertainment options worth visiting.

Meiji Jingu park, botanical garden and temple

Really nice to walk and just to relax and recuperate from the Shibuya overwhelming experience.

Shinjuku

Do visit Tokyo metropolitan government building which is completely for free and you can enjoy views from its observation decks.

Akihabara

The electric city, place of electronics of all kinds from past and even future. Maid coffees and otaku culture won`t let you uninspired and if, something must be wrong (with you).

You have to really see it and experience it. I don`t really know if I made myself really clear about it. Put it on the top of your list.

What golden monkey likes about Tokyo?

Almost everything because I just love everything what is different than what I already know.

Tips from Golden Monkey

I am sorry but you have to plan what you want to see in Tokyo, it`s massive city.

If something on this planet makes you tick you will find some variation of it in Akihabara.

On Sundays roads in Akihabara are closed and the whole place is there just for pedestrians.

Convenience stores are everywhere, you can get even hot food in them or sit down and charge your phone.

Vending machines on public spots are super common in Japan.

Visit sex shops, do ask “how it works?” and “what is it?”╰(*°▽°*)╯

At first glance to buy ticket on tube of Tokyo’s extensive public transport may seem challenging but there is system in it. Practice makes master here.

Onsen is an experience, in majority of them they will refuse you if you have tattoo.

Not so many trash bins on the streets of Tokyo.

What I missed?

A lot, my days in Tokyo were running out which was making me crazy.

Nippon budokan.

Sum it up!

Tokyo has a lot to offer and to experience but you have to by smart and plan it in advance. Even a use of toilet in Japan is for European like me an experience.

Tokyo and Japan are just so different and that`s what makes them so exciting.
